The PTW Tag Team Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by Prime Time Wrestling as their tag team division championship.

Statistics

History

The title was announced at PTW#3: Legends in November 2022, by Arkadiusz Pawłowski, PTW's owner and General Manager. Pure Gold (Vic Golden and Gabriel Queen) snatched a controversial victory from PAKA in the opening match of that event. Along with the title, Pawłowski announced an upcoming tag team tournament, to crown the inaugural champions. This tournament happened during Undergrounds 10 and 11 (first round), 12, and 13 (semi finals). The final match was contested on PTW#4: The Mystery, where PAKA defeated Pure Gold in a tables match. While Boro did not participate in that match, he was also recognized as a champion in accordance with the Freebird Rule.

Belt design

The first proposed version of the belts was rather bulky, with a wide, golden, octagon-shaped central plate, and two smaller square sideplates on black leather. The main plate prominently features PTW's logo, including the full "Prime Time Wrestling" name in smaller text. Below the logo, it also showed the championship name "Tag Team Champions" in black text. The main plate was also engraved with basic line shapes, and decorated with several white crystals above and below the text.

This design was poorly received by the audience, and lambasted as looking "cheap" and "bulky". PTW redesigned the belts, unveiling them at PTW#5: Gold Rush, without announcing the fact.

The new version appears much slimmer and smaller than the first one. The main plate is smaller with much more details, engravings and black fillings instead of the solid gold plate used before. In its centre, the logo still dominates. The sideplates were made bigger, and display two hands in a handshake, representing tag team spirit.
